We oppose any internet taxation and the government's ability to shut
down websites either directly or through intimidation without a warrant
or judicial hearing.
We call upon the Texas Legislature to protect citizens’ current and historic technologically available location data by requiring a warrant based on probable cause for governments to request access except in the case of an immediate, life threatening situation. We also call on the Texas Legislature to require appropriate policies regarding the disclosure of data collection when no criminal case is filed.
