United States Department of Education-

Current State Platform plank

Since education is not an enumerated power of the federal government, we believe the Department of Education (DOE) should be abolished, and prohibit the transfer of any of its functions to any other federal agency.

Committee revised plank

We support the complete elimination of the United States Department of Education. We do not want the Department’s functions distributed among other federal departments. We proclaim our desire for the federal government’s role in the education of our young to cease and parental control be returned.
