We support legislation that would prohibit public school districts from interfering with or preventing school district employees who are properly trained and licensed to carry a handgun from carrying a concealed handgun on any school district’s properties, including but not limited to teachers and all other employees in the classrooms, on school buses, at athletic facilities, or at any district’s sponsored events not on district properties.
We demand that public school districts be prohibited from taking any punitive or legal actions against any district employees who meet approved training requirements and choose to carry a licensed concealed handgun on district properties or at district sponsored events, and be prohibited from making the identity of those employees known to any other persons or organizations.
We support legislation that would establish minimum training requirements for public school district employees who want to carry a licensed concealed handgun on any school district’s properties or at any district’s sponsored events.
