We call upon the Texas Legislature to work towards retiring Federal and State regulation that violates the final authority of the parent-child relationship of a family unit, and encourage states and ultimately local school boards to have a greater accountability to constituent parents of minor age students for the content, educational goals, and models utilized in the local schools. We also call on the Texas Legislature to amend or replace legislation that increases the required size and cost of administrative staff to create, manage and update state and federal educational reports at the expense of teachers salaries. The goal of legislation should be to have a measurable means of evaluating the ratio of administrative cost to teacher salaries and the supplies that directly provide educational services to the constituent students of a given local school district on a year-by-year basis. Legislation should be created that affords greater accountability and transparency of the ratio of administrative vs. educational costs to the local school board to set budget priorities and the public to inquire and receive this information for making informed decisions at the ballot box for their community and elected school board members.
