We urge the Texas Legislature to modify section 418.017 of Texas Code Emergency Management entitled ‘Use of Public and Private Resources’ be amended to read “the government can NOT commandeer or use without permission any private property…” to protect Texan’s personal homes and businesses from overreaching municipal, county, or state government during emergencies.
