We call upon the Texas Legislature to protect citizens' current and historic technologically available location data by requiring a warrant based on probable cause for governments to request access, except in the case of an immediate, life-threatening situation. We also call on the Texas Legislature to require appropriate policies regarding the disclosure of data collection when no criminal case is filed.
