We call for changes to the House Rules that require the House Calendars Committee to vote on a bill within 14 days of receipt, or it is automatically put on the calendar. We also support automatic setting of a bill on the calendar within seven days if it is cosponsored by three fifths of House members. We call for votes on each bill individually that is not set on the calendar, rather than killing a slate of bills at once.
